Hamley’s Christmas Parade to take place this Sunday

Published on: November 16th, 2017

Retailer is transforming London’s Regent Street into a traffic-free, all day Christmas extravaganza.

Back for its third year, the Hamley’s Christmas Toy Parade will feature characters from TV and film, marching bands, festive floating blimps, street theatre, dancers and toy vehicles accompanied by music from Magic Radio.

Amongst the stars of this year’s parade will be the CBeebies characters Mr Tumble, Bing & Flop, Go Jetters, Hey Dugee, Tree Fu Tom, Postman Pat and Captain Barnicles. Joining them will also be Fireman Sam, Peppa Pig, Sonic the Hedgehog, Paddington Bear, Leapfrog’s Scout, Nerf, Doh-doh from Play-Doh, V-Tech Toot Toot Bus, The Transformers, and Lego Ninjago’s Kai.

Father Christmas and the Hamleys Elves will also be making a special appearance, along with Hamley and Hattie Bear. Spectators will also get the chance to see Ben 10, the Powerpuff Girls, PJ Masks, the Bladez Toyz super-sized Radio Control Drone Racer, and a new surprise Barbie activation.

The day’s events will start at 11:00am, as the parade starts from the entrance to Air Street, works its way up Regent Street, and finally concludes at Hanover Street. Hamleys advises early arrival to avoid disappointment – designated information points along the street, with parade guides, will help visitors to plan their visit.

The Hamleys Main Stage, located outside the toy shop, will host entertainment from just after midday, welcoming special guests and performers before an exciting finale at 4.30pm.
