The huge wind turbine celebrates the group’s latest investment in wind energy.
Made with over 146,251 Lego Bricks and over 7.5m in height, the installation took a team of 10-15 people over 600 hours to complete. The build celebrates the Lego Group’s latest investment in the Burbo Bank Extension wind farm, off the coast of Liverpool. The investment sees the firm reach its ambition of balancing 100% of global energy use with production of renewable energy.
Guinness World Record adjudicator Anna Orford presented the certificate for the World Record for the largest wind turbine made out of Lego bricks to Tim Brooks, The Lego Group’s Vice President for Environmental Responsibility, at Liverpool One.
