Vivid reports strong pre-sales across the Thunderbirds Are Go toy line, with rave consumer reviews for the Interactive Tracy Island Playset.
Vivid is anticipating that 2015 will see the Tracy Island playset becoming the No 1 Boys’ Action Toy. Already listed on every retailer’s Christmas Top 10, Vivid is aiming to ensure that stock is made available during the second half of the year to meet consumer demand.
Mary Wood, marketing director at Vivid, commented: “We’re overwhelmed by the response to the launch of the Thunderbirds Are Go toys, especially on the big ticket items such as Tracy Island at this time of the year. Demand across all lines is high and when you have something hot, it’s always a challenge to satisfy demand. However, seeing strong success from early sales really gives us confidence for the future and as a result we are running at full capacity to ensure that every Thunderbirds fan has the opportunity to get Thunderbirds Are Go toys this year.”
A full programme of marketing and PR activity has been planned around the toy range, including Interactive Tracy Island having a starring role in the Hamleys ToyTesters.tv Tour. Vivid is also looking to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the TV series from September with a host of activities and celebrity tie-ins. The company is working towards 2016 with plans to extend the range with a Kayo action figure, FAB1 and additional action vehicles.
