Over 2000 global exhibitors to showcase a wide variety of products to more than 46,000 buyers from 126 countries and regions.
Benjamin Chau, HKTDC Deputy Executive Director, commented: “As the largest fair of its kind in Asia, the Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair will enter its 44th edition in 2018. It is the very first trade event for the new year, offering an ideal one-stop platform for trade buyers to preview the product trends in the coming year.”
Chau also noted that Hong Kong’s export of toys and games increased 26% in the first half of 2017 to US$ 2.7 billion, with significant growth recorded in key markets including the EU, the Chinese mainland and the US, up 58%, 36%, and 9% respectively. Taken together with re-exports, Hong Kong is the world’s second largest toy exporter.
To facilitate buyers’ sourcing needs, the fair will roll out a number of dedicated product zones across a variety of categories.
The Smart-Tech Toys zone will showcase high-tech toys and games that incorporate innovative technologies, such asVR, AR and MR as well as products that are operated via mobile apps.
In a similar vein, the STEAM Toys products display will return in 2018 and will also include the latest educational toys and games on show at the fair.
Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair will be staged at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 8-11 January 2018.
