Published on: October 31st, 2017

Official re-opening to take place this weekend.

It has been announced that FAO Schwarz will open 186 new shops inside department stores owned by Bon-Ton Stores. There will also be a pop-up shop in Manhattan, New York within the Bergdorf Goodman department store.

The stores are already trading, however, FAO Schwarz will officially relaunch in a number of locations with a ribbon cutting event on 4th November.

FAO Schwarz was originally founded in 1862, but closed the doors of its last store on Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue in 2015. At the time, the retailer was owned by Toys R Us, who sold the brand in October 2016 to ThreeSixty Group, a company that designs and manufactures and large number of consumer products, including toys.
