1461 Productions appoints Lisle International for Little Monsters

Published on: 11th September 2012

Lisle International is the new master licensing agent for the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

The Little Monsters property has entered its 20th year since original creation, with a new TV series also on the horizon.

Little Monsters is a publishing and TV animated property featuring a series of characters that play out the different and often mischievous side of children aged 4-8. In the 90s a publishing programme delivered 38 titles, each featuring a different lead character, in over 30 countries. Following this a TV show was created, which at its height had a 35% broadcast share on the BBC.

2012 will see publishing titles increase to 60 titles, and a new TV series will launch in 2013. This will all complement the implantation of a worldwide merchandising programme, which hopes to see the Little Monsters return as a top children property.

Russell Dever, 1461 Productions, said: “2012 is a landmark year for Little Monsters and is the perfect time for us to fully launch the brand. We believe that Lisle International is the team to drive this forward whilst keeping the very essence of the little Monsters spirit.”

Gayle Tarrant, business partner Lisle International, added: “Little Monsters perfectly complements our existing portfolio and we are delighted to be working with the team at 1461 Productions at a key time for the property’s development. We have many ideas for new licence opportunities and we look forward to discussing this with prospective partners at BLE.”
