Igloo Books signs with DreamWorks for Turbo

Igloo Books has signed a rights agreement to create a range of novelty children’s books and activity sets based on Turbo, DreamWorks Animation’s newest film.turboryanreynoldsisasnail30

All books are scheduled to hit the shelves in August 2013 ahead of the film launch in October. The books, aimed at children aged 3-7, will be produced in a multitude of interactive formats including pop-up, soundboard, mega sound, touch and feel, puppet and activity sets.

Rob Corney, director of licensing, Bulldog Licensing, stated: “We are delighted to be working with Igloo on this comprehensive range of Turbo novelty books. DreamWorks Animation’s Turbo is one of the anticipated family movies of 2013, and this exciting range offers something fun and unique for young fans of the movie.”

John Styring, CEO at Igloo Books, added: “We are thrilled to hold the UK licensing rights to Turbo. We can’t wait to bring the characters of Turbo and Chet to life in a range of exciting novelty books, and are eager to play our role in the film’s success. We look forward to working with Bulldog and DreamWorks to develop a range of brilliant, creative products for release in August.”

New national account sales manager at Clementoni

Clementoni has announced the appointment of Shahbaz Khan as national account sales manager for the UK and Ireland.Shahbaz300

Shahbaz previously worked as a toy buyer at Argos, so will bring a wealth of experience and expertise with him to help the company move forward in the UK. This new addition reflects Clementoni’s commitment to continue its recent focus in the UK and is the first in their newly-formed subsidiary. The appointment will allow more focus with key customers, as well as bringing new ones on board which will help build on the strong growth seen over the last few years in the UK.
