2014 Minecraft publishing announced

Published on: 26th March 2014

Egmont has announced its 2014 book programme for the online game Minecraft.

The specialist children’s publisher enjoyed success with its three launch titles which published in Autumn last year, with each book achieving Top 10 Bestseller list status.

2014 titles will include the Minecraft Construction Handbook and the Minecraft Combat Handbook, both available from early April.

Sarah Bates, publishing director for licensed character books at Egmont UK, commented: “Our Minecraft publishing is all about giving the Minecraft community wholly original content. Our books are unique because they are created in partnership with Mojang and Minecraft superfans. We’re passionate about continuing to bring real innovation to the market, and our 2014 book programme will not disappoint. Fans from the Minecraft community tell us that our books are every bit as awesome as the game itself, and that makes us immensely proud.”

The official Minecraft Construction Handbook features tips and step-by-step instructions from master build team FyreUK.

The official Minecraft Combat Handbook will teach readers to defend themselves from hostile monsters and enemy players.
