The retailer has opened 18 stores throughout the UK in 2015, with plans for more stores already scheduled for the first quarter of 2016.

Entertainer-480The company has launched 10 stores alone in Q4 of this year, and last month three opened their doors in the same trading week.

By the end of this month, The Entertainer will have a total of 116 stores operational throughout the UK, demonstrating continued success and solid growth of the business. The toy retailer has seen profits rise in the last five years, bucking the current general trend across the retail industry.

Managing director Gary Grant said: “2015 has seen us open more new stores than ever before in our company’s history. We have a solid footprint right across the UK on both the high street and in shopping centres. Launching 18 new stores plus major refits for several others is a great achievement for us, and this is in addition to the new warehouse in Banbury which launched only a couple of months ago and now serves as our main distribution centre. In 2016 we intend to increase upon these numbers and will specifically look to expand our business in the north of the UK and Scotland.”

Each of the new stores is celebrated with a dedicated grand opening day and a special trolley dash undertaken by a local children’s charity, plus costume character visits.
