The gifts, tech and gadget retailer Menkind has announced that concessions will start opening in Debenhams stores from October.

Menkind has announced plans to open a raft of concessions across 23 Debenhams stores, starting from October.

The high-street retailer, which specialises in gifts and gadgets, plus collectibles, games and other toys including Funko Pop! Vinyl, has reopened all its stores following the initial lockdown and is now aiming to strengthen its market presence in the runup to Christmas.

The concessions have created 50 new jobs across the 23 locations, including Bath, Birmingham, Cardiff, Colchester, Guildford, Manchester, Luton, London Oxford Street, Middlesbrough, Warrington and more. Each will offer a range of core Menkind products, Christmas items, licensed merchandise and a wide selection of novelty and personalised items.

“The past few months have presented a unique challenge for the retail sector, and we are incredibly grateful to our customer base for their continued support,” said Fred Prego, director of marketing and eCommerce at Menkind. “We are most excited to start our partnership with Debenhams, and feel that its longstanding retail expertise, brand reputation and widely accessible store network will help us best serve UK customers as they return to shopping in-store. What is more, we are confident that our extensive range of unique gifts and gadgets will be the perfect addition to the wider Debenhams offering in the lead up to Christmas.”

Andrea Abbis, Debenhams marketing director added: “At Debenhams we are constantly keeping abreast of trends and working to ensure our customers enjoy a unique and varied shopping experience. The new Menkind concessions will complement our existing product offering perfectly, and contribute to providing our customers with an exciting Christmas gifts range. We look forward to a fruitful partnership in the months to come.”
