Britains Farm in a Box now available to order

Published on: 1st October 2020

Europe’s oldest specialist in agricultural toys and collectibles launches Farm in a Box, which offers an innovative twist on traditional packaging.

First featured by Toy World in its March Sustainability Spotlight, Tomy has announced that stock of its latest launch – Britains Farm in a Box – is now available for retailers to order.

Setting it aside from other play sets on the market, the recyclable cardboard box unfolds to create a farmyard scene, a trailer attachment, milking parlour, animal pens, stables and more, guaranteeing hours of creative agricultural fun. Inside is an authentic 1:32 scale model John Deere tractor, a trailer, loader, hay bales, fencing and animals including cows and calves. Each part of Farm in a Box also fits seamlessly back together when playtime is over.

“It’s a really exciting time for Britains as we approach our 100th year anniversary in 2021," said Claire Ridley, head of EU Brands at Tomy. "The brand has gone from strength to strength throughout its reign as a leading agricultural toy brand, constantly adapting to resonate with all generations, old and new. To maximise awareness and engagement amongst new audiences, we have invested in both social media and PR to demonstrate the fun our Britains portfolio can bring. With nearly 50,000 followers across Facebook and Instagram alone, families are engaging not only with our products but with us as a brand."

Claire added: “Britains is very lucky to have such a core fan base, many of which are farming enthusiasts and we’re seeing the fun of the farmyard becoming more and more popular with a range of families. Farm in a Box is a fantastic edition to our ‘everyday play’ portfolio as it can introduce new audiences into the world of farming fun, while giving existing fans a new platform to enhance playtime. While this is the latest edition to the Britains portfolio, we have many more to exciting launches to come over the course of the next year as we celebrate this 100-year milestone - so watch this space.”
