Lilliputiens joins the Juratoys group’s brand portfolio to feature alongside Janod and Kaloo.
Juratoys has announced that it has acquired Lilliputiens, a Belgian company that has specialised in activity toys for 0 – 6 year olds for 25 years. Known for its quality designs and colourful characters, the Lilliputiens range spans 400 products, incuding fabric-made toys, books and bags, and has previously been marketed internationally via a specialised network.
French group Juratoys, which has been established for 50 years, offers over 1000 products across its Janod and Kaloo brands. The company has commercial subsidiaries in the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain and USA.
With this latest acquisition, the Juratoys group is expanding its range and strengthening its position in the 0-6 years category. According to a statement from Juratoys announcing the acquisition: “The two companies share common values focused on design, child development through play, sharing and fun, all within an approach guided by Corporate Social Responsibility. The three brands Janod, Kaloo and Lilliputiens are allied in terms of structure and values. We are looking to the future with significant humility and very strong motivation.”
Ludovic Martin, chairman of the Juratoys Group, said: “This alliance is in line with the development strategy of our group, and sends out a strong signal to both the members of our teams and all our partners. We are delighted to work with Catherine Van Crombrugge and the entire Lilliputians team; we share the same ambitions and the same values.”
Gilles Lorang, partner at Juratoys parent company Argos Wityu, added: ” The alliance between Lilliputiens and Juratoys is fully in line with the group’s consolidation strategy, the object being to offer Juratoys customers a complete range of products. In addition, the two entities will continue to progress their environmental and social commitments together.”
