Published on: 18th December 2020

Wow! Stuff’s innovative ‘swipe to light’ collectible range has put in an impressive performance since launching – all without TV advertising.

A clearly delighted Richard North, Wow! Stuff CEO, being informed of the Amazon sales success.

Wow! Pods, the new innovative collectible by Wow! Stuff for fans of character brands, has risen further in the sales rankings and now tops the charts on Amazon’s Best Seller list in two categories.

Richard North, Wow! Stuff CEO, said: “We have some super TV commercials for Wow! Pods waiting in the wings, which were due to air across the usual TV channels in the UK. However, we had seen the sell-through success in other territories and now at UK retail without any promotions at all, so decided to launch with our social media campaign from the KidsKnowBest team. The sales at our retail partners have beaten everyone’s forecasts; we’ve now sold out several times and are ranked No.1 in two categories across Amazon – Kids’ Play Action Figures, and Collectible Figures and Memorabilia. Facebook comments are extraordinary, fans just love them and 2021 will reveal loads of new great brands and rare models for fans to add to their collections.”.

Highlighting the strength and popularity of this range, the best-seller rankings have been achieved without any TV advertising campaigns.

Product pages on Amazon show the sales ratings and rankings across all the top tier brands in WOW! Pods, from DC and Harry Potter to Marvel, Disney and Pixar.

Facebook comments reveal just how broad a range of age groups the collectibles attract, with one poster writing on Facebook: “See, you’re advertising with young kids which means I’m gonna feel stupid buying them… I’m still gonna. I’m 52 and a nerd, so the hell with it.”
