A crazy week for the Crazy Cart

Published on: 26th June 2015

Following last weekend’s Supercar charity event, Damon Hill hosted a karting challenge and Crazy Cart scooped Best Ride-on at the inaugural Outdoor Playtime Awards.

The Damon Hill Karting Challenge, held at Sandown Park’s Daytona karting track, aimed to raise funds for Halow Project, a charity dedicated to nurturing independence in young adults with learning disabilities. Teams took part in a Le Mans style karting marathon and Alex Lynn, development driver in the Williams F1 team, provided a demonstration of the Crazy Cart. A Damon Hill signed Crazy Cart was offered as a raffle prize.

During the event, the former world champion also got behind the wheel of re:creation’s Michael Lehrter supercar and took a lap of the track, showcasing the #riderazor branding.

Katy Fletcher, brand manager, re:creation, said: “The Crazy Cart always draws great interest at events and we have been delighted with the response we have received this week. The news that we had scooped an award in the Outdoor Playtime Awards was truly the icing on the cake of an exciting week. It’s only just the start of summer and what a great springboard this activity has provided as we enter this key half of the year.”
