A thank you from Cockermouth

Published on: 23rd December 2015

Jonty Chippendale from The Toy Shop Cockermouth sends his thanks to the shop’s supporters.

Cockermouth-480Jonty recently appealed for help after his store was flooded earlier this month. Unfortunately sand bags have again been delivered to residents and businesses in the town, as more rain is falling on already sodden ground. Hopefully the sand bags will not be needed this time.

Jonty would like to thank those who have sent stock and messages of support since the appeal. All the stock has been put to good use either instore or has been passed onto local charities for good causes in the town.

Toymaster’s Ian Edmunds commented: “Post Christmas, the town will require a massive clean up and this is sure to be detrimental to all businesses, including the Toy Shop. Your generosity in providing stock will go a long way towards ensuring the presence of the Toy Shop in Cockermouth for many years to come.”
