The new toy shop opened its doors for the first time last week on Bridge Street in Worksop, where it held a free fun-filled launch day.

The launch saw Minions, superheroes and princesses join Worksop children as they explored the new shop.

The shop is located next to the Action Hero Parties Studio, which hosts various workshops and is also available to hire for parties.

David Graham, owner and manager of the business, has been holding children’s parties in the area for over a year and decided the next step was to open the shop.

He said: “When I was a child, a toy shop was somewhere you went just to buy toys. I wanted to make my store a lot more interactive than that. It’s a place where kids can meet their favourite characters, have a play with Lego, take part in colouring competitions and lots of other things. We sell all sorts of toys here amongst other superhero themed goods. There’s also a candy cart with sweets and we’re hoping to sell costumes and cakes very soon.”

Mr and Mrs Santa Claus will be visiting the store throughout the Christmas period.
