Amazon agrees deal with Mattel over American Girl doll specials

Amazon has agreed a deal with Mattel for four live-acAmerican-Gir-480tion specials based on the franchise.

Amazon Studios also has the option to produce multiple seasons of TV series with American Girl characters.

The first special is scheduled to premiere on Amazon Prime Video in the US, UK, Germany and Austria later this year.

Tara Sorensen, head of children’s programming for Amazon Studios, said: “American Girl resonates strongly with kids and parents alike, through its message of self-confidence, adventure, exploration and learning.”
