Amscan International launches new showroom

Amscan has launched a 500sqm showroom in Milton Keynes, showcasing over 10,000 party, balloon and dress-up products.

This is the largest Party Showroom outside of the US and communicates Amscan’s expertise and depth across these categories.

Located close to junction 13 of the M1, this facility enables retailers and wholesalers of all sizes throughout the UK and Europe view and select latest products and programmes, merchandising innovations and seasonal previews.

Jennifer Wilson, retail merchandising manager and showroom controller, said: “The showroom enables us to communicate to our customers in a way that complements our traditional methods of trade shows, advertising and trade website. We’ve merchandised everything as a retail statement which, through our own experience, massively increases basket spend to the end consumer.”

Everything is merchandised chronologically from Baby Shower, Baby, First Birthday, Juvenile then through Milestone ages. Every occasion and Party theme is also represented.

Retailers can use the showroom as a guide for retail ‘best practice’ and as everything is on standard fixtures can be replicated in the real world.

The centerpiece in the showroom is the largest Balloon Wall and counter outside of the US illustrating the breadth and depth of Amscan’s foil balloon line under the Anagram brand. Foil Balloons remain a retailer’s biggest opportunity for margin enhancements and this facility will also be used to train retailers and decorators to decorate, inflate and retail across all categories.

Jim Young, marketing manager, said: “There are over 100 programmes in the showroom, and over 30 licensed party programmes, so it’s most certainly worth a visit. We are all really excited to open our doors and show people why we are the number one choice.”
