In his new role, Andy will oversee global operations, including retail development.
Bright Kingdom Development (BKD), a supplier of light and sound toys across multiple product categories, has announced the appointment of Andy Friess as the company’s new CEO and senior vice president of marketing and licensing.
The role was previously held by BKD founder and current chairman, KS Cheng, whose primary focus will shift to strengthening the company’s global supply chain, through management of new and existing strategic alliances.
Andy previously held the position of president and senior vice president of global marketing at Toy State prior to the launch of his marketing and licensing consulting firm, Friess Marketing Group in 2018. He will oversee all BKD’s global operations, including the company’s strategic growth plan and retail development. He will also direct the company’s product marketing and licensing programmes, along with the expansion of BKD’s digital marketing platforms.
KS Cheng commented: “Andy brings strong leadership and valuable toy industry experience to our company, with a proven track record of success in business development and leading high-performing teams. We share a common vision for the growth and expansion of BKD, and I’m excited to work with Andy to make these goals a reality.”
