Arckit named as a finalist in the 2016 Architizer A+ Awards

The product has been named as a finalist in the Architecture + Learning category.

arckit480Launched in 2014, Arckit is a professional freeform model building tool that has been gaining popularity worldwide. Children can have fun and learn basic design skills by creating structures with limitless possibilities, fuelling their exploration of architecture.

Founder Damien Murtagh said: “It’s an honour and a privilege to be nominated for the Architizer A+ Awards. This is a great endorsement by the architecture and design profession which recognises Arckit as a valuable hands-on design tool. Arckit has also been a big hit in the education sector, and in particular within STEAM education (science, technology, engineering, art, maths), as a new way to enable students to spontaneously explore ideas and bring their designs to life.”

The Architizer A+ Awards is the largest awards programme dedicated to celebrating the best architecture and products, assessing entries from over 100 countries. Finalists and winners of over 115 categories are carefully vetted by a panel of 300 distinguished jurors and through a process of popular choice voting.
