Argos’ festive advert launched on Friday evening, and B&M’s premiered on Sunday during the X Factor Results Show.
Argos was the first major brand to launch its Christmas advertising campaign this year. To coincide with the advert, which features a group of yetis skating the streets with an array of items, the retailer sent yetis onto the streets to dish out presents in real life.
B&M will roll out a total of three Christmas ads this year, as well as some shorter edits across a number of social media channels. The adverts tell the tale of families who venture into a B&M store and discover much more than they anticipated.
In addition to this, a 10-second trailer for John Lewis’ eagerly awaited Christmas advert, which is expected to launch this Friday, has been released by an unofficial Twitter account. The short clip, which is believed to be an official trailer for the new advert, shows a dog watching a girl bounce around on a red space-hopper, and ends with the hashtag #BounceBounce.
