Argos calls for toys for Barnardo’s

Published on: 12th November 2015

There are only a few days left to donate toys and raise vital funds for children’s charity, Barnardo’s.

argostoyexchange480The Argos Toy Exchange, which ends on Friday 20th November, encourages people and companies to hand in their pre-loved toys at local Argos and Barnardo’s stores.

The donated toys will be sold in Barnardo’s shops, raising money to help transform the lives of the most disadvantaged children in the UK and their families.

Javed Khan, chief executive of Barnardo’s, said: “We have been delighted with the response we’ve had since this year’s Argos Toy Exchange launched in October. The quality of the toys donated has been amazing. For many, Christmas can be a difficult time, particularly for those living in poverty, and every penny raised through the sale of these pre-loved toys will go directly towards our work with some of the UK’s most vulnerable children and families.”

It is the fourth year that the retailer has teamed up with Barnardo’s for the Argos Toy Exchange scheme. Last year £560,000 was raised to help children and young people across the UK.
