Argos teams up with Lego for “Arghost” after hours ghost hunt

Published on: 11th October 2019

Ghost hunter Yvette Fielding will lead children on an after-dark Halloween hunt in the London Argos store this half term.

On Sunday 27th October, Argos will undergo a spooky transformation to embody the new world of Lego Hidden Side. Coming to life on the Halloween weekend, the Tottenham Court Road Argos store will undergo a complete re-vamp, with visitors able to join an immersive ghost hunt led by professional ghost hunter Yvette Fielding.

Yvette will entertain attendees with wicked ghost stories from the surrounding streets of London and take children aged 5+ on a ghost hunt to put pieces of a puzzle together and uncover Lego’s new Hidden Side toy range. The after-hours experience will see elements of the eight Lego Hidden Side sets come to life, including the Graveyard Mystery, Newbury Haunted High School and Paranormal Intercept Bus.

The immersive Argos Halloween ghost hunt will allow attendees to discover the world of Lego Hidden Side, and each attendee will also take home a free Lego Hidden Side toy.

Lego Hidden Side marks the first time the company has blended physical and digital play, using an AR enabled smartphone app alongside classic Lego bricks. The app experience will continue to expand with the addition of new ghosts, new game challenges, and new game play.

Juliet Ward, head of toy buying at Argos, said: “We’re thrilled to be recreating the world of Lego Hidden Side in our store this Halloween through the unique “Arghost” experience. This immersive event is a fantastic opportunity for children to discover the new toy range, at the same time offering parents a fun activity for the kids this half term. We can’t wait to see our customers’ reactions to our spooky new store and get their feedback on this exciting new range from Lego.”

The ghost hunt takes place on 27th October at Argos on Tottenham Court Road between 7pm and 9pm. The event is free to attend. To sign up click here.
