Asda and Morrisons become latest to stock Desi Doll’s Islamic toy range

Published on: 17th March 2023

Customers can enjoy a meet & greet with the Desi Doll Company’s Omar and Hana Mascots in Asda stores this Mother’s Day Weekend.

Farzana Rahman’s Desi Doll Company has announced that its Islamic toy range is now available in over 150 Asda, Morrisons and Selfridges stores across the UK. The brand is known for its dolls and toys that promote the Islamic faith and culture, and has been working hard to expand its reach and make its products more accessible to customers across the country.

One of the most popular items in the Desi Doll range are the singing Omar & Hana dolls. The company’s first licensed toys, the character are based upon the hit children’s animation which has over 1m subscribers and features Islamic content focused upon good characteristics and moral values. Desi Doll says it is delighted with the positive response its products have received since arriving in Asda stores, which are offering a wide range of Islamic toys to suit every budget.

Ramadan is an important period in the Islamic calendar, and sees families become more focused on their faith. The additional focus on faith means parents look for ways to make the month more meaningful for their children, and Desi Doll Company sees a peak in demand for their range of Islamic toys at this time of year. The fasting month ends with the celebration of Eid, a time, like Christmas, when parents look for extra special gifts for their children. Toys that benefit from being imbued with Islamic values are usually top of the list.

Farzana Rahman, founder and director of Desi Doll, said: “We are thrilled to be launching our range of unique toys in supermarket stores across the UK. Our products are designed to provide children with enjoyable and educational experiences when it comes to learning about the Islamic faith. With the arrival of our toys in Asda and Morrison stores, customers now have the opportunity to discover our unique toys while doing their weekly shopping. We are also excited that our range is also available in the iconic Selfridges stores, allowing us to reach even more households with our products.”

Desi Doll Company is committed to promoting Islamic culture and values through its products. The company’s range of dolls and toys is designed to provide children with an enjoyable and educational experience that is both fun and informative.

This Mother’s Day weekend, customers visiting select Asda stores (outlined below) will be given the opportunity to enjoy meet & greets with Omar and Hana character mascots. These fun interactions can then be enhanced in-store with a look at the full Desi Doll toy range.
