Published on: 11th August 2020

Asmodee is offering a virtual trade-show experience in an attempt to to bridge the supplier-buyer gap now Q3/4 trade shows are largely off the table.

AsmoFairWith industry shows being cancelled across the board due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Asmodee says it is determined not to miss an opportunity to connect with retailers this autumn. The UK’s No.1 board-games distributor is to launch the AsmoFair from 2nd-5th September, bringing the trade-show experience to wherever buyers are, by offering a virtual tour of what would have been its stand. A preview of AsmoFair can be viewed below.

By visiting www.asmofair.co.uk, buyers can book a 25-minute video call to the Asmodee showroom, in which they’ll meet members of the sales team and get a sneak peek at some of the company’s most exciting products.

“We’ve been attending trade shows for many years and are keenly aware of how valuable an opportunity they are for all parties,” said Anil Boodhoo, Asmodee’s sales and marketing director. “It’s important to us to keep open those lines of communication and, while it’s not how any of us would have expected to be attending shows this year, we’ve worked hard to ensure that the AsmoFair will be the next best thing.”

The virtual show represents an opportunity to discover the latest additions to Asmodee’s flagship Dobble range, from the classic edition –  the UK’s No.1-selling game for two years running – to the new mechanised Dobble 360. With major new licensed editions also available, including The Gruffalo, L.O.L. Surprise! and Harry Potter, Dobble continues to go from strength to strength.

Familiar faces from the sales team will be demonstrating what makes addictive word game Bananagrams a perennial favourite, and highlighting Pokémon Battle Academy – a game-changing new product that offers a better-than-ever way to discover the huge-selling Pokémon Trading Card Game.

Retailers will also be able to get a look at Asmodee’s key ranges of the best board games on the market, including the Modern Classics, Party Games, Family Games and Quick Play titles.
