When I Dream was the standout success of the night, winning three separate gold awards on its own.
Asmodee UK is celebrating success at the Imagination Gaming Game of the Year Awards, with all of the products it entered earning at least one gold medal.
Now in its sixth year, the awards are run by Imagination Gaming and recognise a variety of games that enable fun and learning in equal measure for all ages and abilities.
When I Dream took home the biggest prize of the night, the BIGGY (Best Imagination Gaming Game of the Year). Players take turns wearing a blindfold while their friends try to help – or hinder – them as they guess a series of words, making it one of the most distinctive and memorable party games on the market.
When I Dream also won gold in the Best Family Game and Best Literacy Game categories.
Also earning high praise from the judges was Arokah, the mysterious shape-based puzzle game. Launched by Asmodee earlier this year, Arokah’s spatial challenges earned it gold in Best Family Game and Best Problem-Solving Game.
Bananagrams, the word game that challenges players to build grids of words at speed, took home a gold award for Best Literacy Game and claimed silver in Best Family Game.
Two fast-paced games made waves with gold medals in Best Family Game and Best Problem-Solving Game: Match Madness, in which players sprint to arrange blocks to match patterns before their opponents can do the same; and Maze Racers, which tasks players with building labyrinths that their rivals then have one minute to try to escape.
Finally, the awards run was topped off by Abalone. The revamped edition of the classic two-player strategy game took home gold in the Best Family Game category.
