Featuring skeletal character ‘Billy Bones’, the game mixes ‘1980s Ghost Train Camp’ with modern, innovative technology and is a Firebox UK first.
Billy Bones uses his infrared lights to randomly project ghostly visions around the room from his eye. The aim of Ghost Hunt is to shoot the apparitions with the laser gun and whoever blasts the most wins the game. Every time a ghost is shot, Billy Bones screams. With multiple difficulty settings and a rechargeable gun, the game is easy to set up.
Ben Redhead, product manager at Firebox, said: “As soon as we saw the game we knew it would be perfect for Firebox. It’s just really, really good fun, looks and sounds very cool and definitely has mass market appeal; this could be a Halloween hit and a dead cert for Christmas. What’s not to like?”
Ghost Hunt was invented in Mexico and went on to become a number one hit in France, Belgium and Japan last Christmas. The UK launch will be supported with a nationwide TV advertising campaign starting next month.
