Bandai’s Alien Attacks campaign

Published on: 28th September 2012

To celebrate the launch of the new Ben 10 Omniverse toy range, manufacturer Bandai has installed ‘alien attack boxes’ across the UK.

The boxes will appear at over 30 locations around the country in Smyths Toys Superstores, with one main box featuring the new Omnitrix Challenge. The first person to uncover and open the boxes in the secret locations will win products from the Ben 10 Omniverse range, while each child to visit the alien attack box later on in the day will receive a 10 per cent discount on the new Ben 10 range on Saturday 29th September only.

A study was only commissioned by Bandai to mark the launch of the range, which showed that 65 per cent of children believe there is ‘something out there’, whilst over half (57 per cent) of adults believe the same.

Andrew Welch, product manager for Boys brands at Bandai UK, said: “With the popularity of brands like Ben 10 and children’s vivid imaginations, it is easy to see why believing in aliens is widespread amongst children. Our Ben 10 Omniverse toy range has been highly anticipated and we are thrilled to see it start to land in toy stores across the country.”
