Barbie inspires winning design

Barbie has presented a one-of-a-kind Barbie doll to the winner of the See What Happens When You Design with Barbie competition.

The competition was part of a global marketing initiative to drive girl engagement and promote Barbie’s creative and fashion credentials. The competition was run through a successful on-pack promotion which directed girls to a dedicated website.

Girls were asked to design Barbie’s next outfit and submit their entries online for a chance to win one of thousands of prizes. Five runners-up won a Barbie bedroom makeover, while the grand prize went to Lucy Miller aged 12, who had her design brought to life with a one-of-a-kind Barbie doll.

Lucy was presented with the Barbie doll by Barbie herself, before being chauffeur-driven to London in a pink limousine where she enjoyed a trip to the theatre, a shopping spree with spending money, afternoon tea and a night in a luxury London hotel.
