Barbie sponsors Louise Gray’s Spring/Summer 2013 show

Three adult looks inspired by Barbie will appear to form part of Louise Gray’s new collection.

Collaborative looks from the show featuring Barbie will be sold as part of Louise Gray’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection. Louise Gray will also be dressing a special one-off Barbie doll in one of the new season looks she has created for her.

Louise Gray said: “My clothes are always about colour and fun – making a bold statement through the way you dress.  I wanted to see Barbie in some separates and layer up her look, giving her a different way to be girly and fun, than how people are used to seeing her.”

In the past 50 years, Barbie has established herself as one of the world’s leading fashion icons, and has been dressed by leading design talents including Alaïa, Burberry, Comme des Garçons, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Prada, and Roksanda Ilincic.  More than 100 million metres of fabric have gone into making her wardrobe and she has had over one billion pairs of shoes, including ones created by Christian Louboutin.
