BeanoMax comic launches Aardman segment

Published on: 24th May 2012

The monthly BeanoMax comic has launched an extended section for well-known Aardman characters, following the success of the existing Wallace and Gromit strip.

BeanoMax has developed a new eight-page segment that includes regular Shaun the Sheep stories, games, and competitions and news from the studio. Within the segment, kids can get hands-on with Aardman’s grass-roots home animation brand Animate It! where Morph provides monthly exercises, tips and tricks.

Rob Goodchild, head of licensing at Aardman Animations, commented: “Our partnership with BeanoMax is the perfect fit for Aardman, and we are delighted to have such a fantastic presence in the magazine. It enables our younger fans to engage regularly with our brands and look forward to new adventures every month.”

Mike Stirling, editor-in-chief of The Beano and BeanoMax, added: “The Aardman properties sit fantastically well alongside our long-established favourites like Dennis and Gnasher and The Bash Street Kids. We’re delighted to expand the Aardman content in BeanoMax and give our readers more of what they clearly enjoy already.”
