This year’s Best Stand Awards were presented on the opening day to a show newcomer and a company exhibiting for just its second year.
Best Stand awards have been given to two companies at this year’s Toy Fair, with the British Toy & Hobby Association‘s director general, Roland Earl, awarding the presentations.
Show newcomer Connetix, who had travelled all the way from Perth in Australia, received the award for Best Space Only Stand, while Mojo Fun, in its second year of exhibiting, was named Best Shell Scheme Stand.
Handing the award to Connetix on the opening day, Roland praised the company for its bright display and welcomed the company to the show for the first time. Accepting the award on behalf of the company, co-owner Brea Brand told Toy World: “It really is an honour to receive this award. We’ve had a great reaction already, and we are looking forward to the next two days of the show.”
Presenting Mojo Fun’s award, Roland told CEO James Connolly that: “it is not easy doing a shell scheme design. You’ve let the product speak for itself.”
Accepting the award, James said he was delighted and that winning had made the show for the whole team.
“We work hard and it’s great to have the recognition,” he said.
Toy Fair runs until Thursday 26th January, and visitors can find the winning stand designs at: Connetix – UN68, Mojo Fun – UL144.
