Best-selling US collectibles Pop it Pets will be heading to the UK this summer under a new international distribution deal with Buffalo Games.
The rapidly expanding Buffalo Games and London-based indie games company Big Potato are now distributing each other’s products in the UK and US, including Pop It Pets, a brand new set of collectibles for kids. Last year they were the best selling collectible in Target.
Inside each Mystery Bag is a lucky dip of five Pop It Pets, five trading cards, five stickers, one collector’s sheet and a keychain. There are over 100 pets to collect, each with its own personality, friendship group, rarity rating and stress-relieving bubble-popper to pop.
Characters include Prickles, the glow-in-the-dark Hedgehog Pop It who loves scarves and hates summer, and Fresa, the rare carton of milk Pop It who is best friends with Fancy, the uni-kitty.
Each pet comes with its own sticker and trading card, which tells collectors everything they need to know about their pet. Collectors can keep a record of their collection by sticking the sticker to the collector’s sheet inside the Mystery Bag and can also attach their pets to a bag or clothes with the easy-to-open key ring.
Some of the Pets have special powers: some change colour in the sunlight, some glow in the dark and others change colour when they’re warmed up in hands. Not all pets have a single bubble-popper; some have two, and a few have three.
Big Potato Games says it had been looking for a collectible range for a while and when the team saw Pop It Pets, they knew they’d found something that would be a hit in the UK too. CEO Dean Tempest said: “Pop It Pets have Big Potato written all over them. They are inventive and funny, which is right up our street. But best of all, the inclusion of the bubble-popper is genius – it makes them so ridiculously tactile and stress-relieving. Well done to Buffalo for such a good idea. We’re really chuffed to be able to team up with them to bring Pop It Pets to the UK.”
The collectibles range will be headed to the UK in summer 2023, and is available to order now. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more.
