Big Potato to bring Foooty to UK

Flat-pack toy capable of forming durable 3D shapes now available in the UK through exclusive distributor Big Potato.

Innovative Dutch toy Foooty, the Kickstarter sensation, has officially been released in the UK and indie board game company Big Potato has been named as the exclusive UK distributor.

Foooty is a clever flat-pack toy which can be hooked together to make durable 3D shapes that can be played with indoors and out. The flexible panels can build a football, frisbee, rugby ball, star, rocket and even a giraffe, which are easy to assemble and even easier to deconstruct. The perfect size and weight to fit into a pocket or bag, the product is also kind on the environment as it’s made out of recyclable polypropylene. Foooty comes in a variety of colours, including red, yellow and blue.

Jean-Pierre Raes, who devised the product, often found himself on holiday wishing he had brought a football: “We always forgot to take a ball for our kids to play. Either it didn’t fit in the suitcase, or we simply just forgot. So I had the idea for Foooty which became a fusion of football, Lego and a Rubik’s Cube.”

Dean Tempest of Big Potato Games discovered Foooty whilst at a toy fair in Germany: “Although it’s not a board game, we fell in love with the idea of a football in your pocket. We’ve been booting Foooty round the office ever since, and expect it to be one of our biggest sellers this year.”
