Jason launched Filament PR after witnessing a high demand for the service from clients across the industry.
Jason from Blue Kangaroo has joined forces with Anne-Marie Lacey, the Chartered Institute of Public Relations North East’s young communicator, to launch a new creative communications offering, specialising in the brand licensing industry across the lifestyle, leisure and entertainment sectors.
The duo will be working with clients across the UK and beyond, providing strategic and tactical PR and communications services, including media and blogger relations, social media, content marketing and SEO PR.
Jason and the team at Blue Kangaroo work with big-name brands in the UK such as Peppa Pig and BBC Worldwide. In addition, the agency has exported its skills to the US, working with clients such as Hit Entertainment and Mattel. Now Filament PR is set to follow in the same footsteps, having provided its services to a global household name in the entertainment industry ahead of the PR agency’s official launch.
While Jason manages the day-to-day running of Filament PR, as well as maintaining his position at Blue Kangaroo, Anne-Marie will head up all client-facing activity. She will be responsible for providing strategic counsel and tactical delivery to big-name brands, as well as the supply chain that supports them, while continuing to build Filament PR’s portfolio.
“Having worked in the design and brand communications industry for over 10 years, I spotted a business opportunity to expand my interests to include a PR and communications agency a while ago, after several of my clients at Blue Kangaroo asked for recommendations of PR agencies,” Jason commented. “After meeting Anne-Marie and working with her on PR projects for Blue Kangaroo, I knew she was the right person to co-found and launch a PR agency with. In my view, Filament PR is the joining of two forces to provide our clients with a first-class service and all to the highest professional standards, while generally just being nice people to deal with.”
