Tatty Teddy & My Blue Nose Friends has partnered with Alton Towers Resort to host a Storytelling Weekend.Alton-Towers-Tatty300

On Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th August the Storytelling Weekend will include Tatty Teddy & My Blue Nose Friend character appearances, face painting, a treasure trail, storytelling, competitions, prizes and more. The event will take place each day from 5pm at Ma Garittas Bar in the Splash Landings Hotel, where children can unwind after a day in the theme park.

Carte Blanche launched a competition in July to give fans the opportunity to take part in the storytelling event. Children aged 11 and under were asked to write a short story featuring Tatty Teddy & My Blue Nose Friends, with the most imaginative entry from seven year old Emma Benney of Chorley, Lancashire, being awarded a family stay in the Tatty Teddy-themed room at the Alton Towers Resort Hotel, along with passes for a day in the Alton Towers Theme Park. Two runner’s-up, Honor Chilvers (age 11)  and Emma Haytack (age 8), also won prizes of tickets to the theme park for a family of four.

Catherine Lawrence, Carte Blanche brand manager, commented: “We received an amazing amount of entries to the competition, proving just how responsive kids are to our brand. We really enjoyed reading all of the stories, all of which included wonderful amounts of detail and imaginative storylines for Tatty Teddy & My Blue Nose Friends.”

The Alton Towers Hotel features two Tatty Teddy-themed rooms which are available to book at altontowers.com.
