Organiser insists Spielwarenmesse 2022 will take place

Published on: 17th December 2021

An email sent to exhibitors in the last hour suggests support for the show remains strong in the face of the latest Covid-19 developments.

Following days of rumour and speculation, Toy World has seen an email from an anonymous exhibitor that categorically states the show will be going ahead as planned in early February.

The email says: “Dear XXXXX,

Spielwarenmesse will take place in Nuremberg as planned from 2 to 6 February 2022!

The latest decisions by the Bavarian state government and the easing of the pandemic situation in Bavaria make it possible to hold the fair safely. In addition, current surveys among exhibitors and visitors have shown that the majority are expressly in favour of Spielwarenmesse taking place as a live event, even if the general conditions are more difficult than at previous fairs. We would like to express our sincere thanks for this approval.

In close coordination with the health authorities and NürnbergMesse, a viable safety and hygiene concept has been developed for Spielwarenmesse. New: You as an exhibitor and your stand constructor are regarded as so-called “professionals” and can plan with the 2G access regulation – i. e. access for vaccinated or recovered persons without additional test certificates. Incidentally, with a booster vaccination, visitors who have been vaccinated are also exempt from the test obligation.

Present yourself in the best possible way: If you have not yet checked your company profile on Spielwarenmesse Digital, please do so by the catalogue deadline on 22 December 2021. We will then adopt your company name, stand data and product groups for the print catalogue.

If you cancel your participation, please note the applicable cancellation conditions. If you participate in Spielwarenmesse Digital as an alternative in the event of cancellation, we can offset the exhibiting fee paid against the digital participation costs.

We would be delighted if you support your Spielwarenmesse as the industry’s leading platform and fly the flag in Nuremberg! Every live exhibitor counts and attracts an even greater number of interested buyers. Together with you, we want to offer a real fair experience again in 2022.

We look forward to seeing you in Nuremberg and will be happy to answer any questions you may have.”

Toy World will keep readers updated with any future developments as they happen.
