Breyer to release a trio of world-famous horses

Published on: 29th August 2012

Breyer, distributed by Hornby Hobbies, has announced the release of three new model horses to the UK and Eire.

Zenyatta's First Colt model

Mistral Hojris, gold and bronze medal winner at London 2012, will be available in October this year. Ridden by Laura Bechtolsheimer, Mistral Hojris won three silver medals at the 2010 World Equestrian Games, where the pair set the British International GP record for Grand Prix, Grand Prix Freestyle and Grand Prix Special.

Zenyatta’s First Colt will also be available this October. Born in March this year, his mother was the first filly to win the Breeders’ Cup Classic. Zenyatta won 19 races in her 20-race career and earned the 2010 Eclipse Award’s female Horse of the Year. His father, Bernardini, won the 2006 Preakness Stakes and was the Eclipse Award’s Male Horse of the Year.

The third model set for release is the world-famous Totilas. A top-level dressage horse, Totilas is the first to score over 90 in any dressage competition. Winning three gold medals and a silver at the 2009 European Dressage Championships, as well as winning FEI’s Best Athlete Award, Totalis will be available in December 2012.

Breyer is also releasing the Black Caviar Model, an official product endorsed by Black Caviar’s connections to commemorate her unbeaten record and victory at Royal Ascot. Black Caviar will be available to the UK and Eire market in November, limited to 250 pieces in the UK and Eire.

All models are in Breyer’s traditional scale of 1:9.
