A special reopening offer means that ‘non-essential’ independents can get a 20% discount across the entire Cartamundi range.
To support independent toy and hobby stores that have been closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Cartamundi is offering indie retailers 20% off their first order back, a deal which is valid for six weeks. The offer applies to Cartamundi’s entire portfolio, from the bestselling Royal Flush playing cards through to the company’s wide range of card games and its new jigsaw puzzle collection. With exciting new releases, such as the Into The Wild pre-school range and brand new retro games featuring Friends, Back to the Future, E.T and Knightrider, there is something for everyone.
To reflect kidults representing 27% of the total toy sales in 2020, and demand showing no signs of decreasing, April sees the launch of new Shuffle card games based on classic TV and movie properties from Universal. Just some of these titles are Back to the Future, where players join forces to get the DeLorean to the requisite 88mph needed for time travel and the E.T.card game which tasks players with using action cards to find E.T.’s phone parts.
Ideal for families that have embraced the advantages of learning through play, the Shuffle Play & Learn range offers teacher-approved games that follow the National Curriculum Key Stages.
Exciting launches in the pre-school games space include new Shuffle Junior, kicking off with Into the Wild, a developmental discovery into the world of wildlife. Early years approved, the range also includes games such as Matching & Memory, Counting and Shapes. Colourful flashcards feature the alphabet and numbers, while fun Bingo and Dominoes games as well as a giant floor puzzle and 4-in-1 jigsaw are also available. The Shuffle Junior range is also set to expand further with popular pre-school licences such as Timmy Time and Winnie The Pooh.
Following the sellout success of the Disney Race Home and Home Sprint board games, Cartamundi is introducing further new titles from the Disney franchise. The first will be Disney Princess Race N Chase, a fast-paced game played on a 3D board with moving bridges. The Shuffle Rondo range features collectible 3D figurines and card games, launching with Frozen II and Mickey Mouse, with new additions planned for autumn/winter.
Steve Webb, head of UK retail at Cartamundi, commented: “Having worked with the independent toy and hobby sector for many years, I am passionate about supporting these stores which play a vital role in our industry. I hope that this offer goes some way to helping them get back on their feet as they open up to customers once again, and I am sure I am not the only one who is really looking forward to getting out and about and visiting some independent toy shops once again soon.”
