Just Imagine – Volume 1, the music album inspired by the TV show, became available to download worldwide on 28th October.
A total of 20 songs from CBeebies’ Kazoops! are included in this first album, and digital service providers include iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and YouTube. Fans of the pre-school TV series can now either buy the album and individual songs, or alternatively stream the music online.
Since the launch of the series in July 2016, the music in Kazoops! has been inspiring children with its variety of genres and combination of guitars, ukuleles, drums, glockenspiels, retro synths, string vocals and more.
Patrick Egerton, executive producer at Cheeky Little Media, commented: “The songs are key to the show, and give us these visually rich adventures at the centre of each episode that are crucial to the story but can also stand alone as mini-music videos in their own right.”
The release of the music comes at the time of a great deal of licence activity being coordinated in the UK by Art and Science. Nicola Webster, licensing director, commented: “We are thrilled to be able to meet the demands of the fans by releasing the music. The TV show is incredibly popular and is achieving a consistent 24% share of viewers on CBeebies. On a licence perspective, it’s great to be working on such an inspirational series, and we will shortly be announcing more licensing partners, with product releases planned throughout 2017.”
The album has launched in English, and will be followed by a subsequent music release in 2017 in 18 other languages.
