The awards ceremony, currently in its second year and held at Chelsea Football Club on November 7th, is the leading awards ceremony celebrating the business of football. Ray Duffy, licensing director at Mask-arade, said: “2013 has been another fantastic year for Mask-arade, the addition of some of the world’s leading football teams to our licence portfolio such as Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City has boosted our profile further, and we hope will result in a bumper year ahead.”

Mask-arade supplies its officially licensed products to numerous clubs and official retailers. Their charity work is also greatly admired; earlier this year Mask-arade was instrumental in helping to raise funds for Cure Leukaemia, they donated 6,000 Stiliyan Petrov masks to fans of Aston Villa and Celtic. Each mask included a text to donate message on the reverse to generate funds for this great cause.

Duffy added: “Sales of our official Masks and Standees have increased sharply due to our varied licence portfolio which covers many popular genres from Rock & Pop to Hollywood icons, children’s characters to Mr Bean. Now we are changing the face of football.”

Simon Burton, director of the awards, added: “Business and football are inextricably linked and on pitch performance needs to be matched by commercial achievement and acumen. Football clubs are economic drivers for their communities and football itself is one of the UK’s greatest exports. The quality and diversity of the FBA entries never fails to inspire”.
