Kathleen Campisano appointed global chief marketing officer and GM of Beacon Media Group, while Dean Shoukas has been named VP of digital marketing.

Kathleen is a team-focused business leader with a 25+ year record of driving multi-million dollar growth. She joins the company from Barnes and Noble, where she served as VP of Toys, Games and Speciality Products. During her 10 years in retail, Kathleen and her team not only launched a world class Educational Toys & Games Department but delivered a visionary Pop Culture Trend Shop to stores nationwide. Throughout her career she has held executive positions as EVP and chief marketing officer for Mega Brands, SVP of Design, Product Development and Strategic Marketing for LeapFrog Enterprises, along with senior brand and product development positions at Fisher Price and Century Baby Products.

In her role, Kathleen will be based in New Jersey and oversee operations of the Beacon Media Group and serve as ChizComm’s global chief marketing officer. Kathleen’s expertise across all areas of marketing, brand building, product line strategy and retail merchandising will further advance the future capabilities within both organisations.

“I am overjoyed to join a team so dedicated to understanding the customer journey, one that is committed to exploring and refining every medium available to reach meaningful connections with their audience. To be working alongside such talented and driven colleagues that rally every day to bring influence, creativity and innovative thinking to client services is truly a privilege,” says Kathleen.

ChizComm is also welcoming Dean Shoukas as vice president of digital marketing. In this new role, Dean will oversee all digital media initiatives from ChizComm’s Toronto office, and will be supporting the digital media buying strategies of the Beacon Media Group. Former director of digital sales, Dean comes to ChizComm having spent the past 11 years at Corus Entertainment, where he managed sales relationships with key partners and oversaw a digital sales team that saw year on year growth.

“Having Kathleen join our team is a giant leap in the right direction when it comes to building and elevating strategies in every aspect of marketing,” says Harold Chizick, CEO, ChizComm. “I’m extremely excited about the executive appointments of Kathleen and Dean, as both additions are helping put in place a vision for a much broader future in elevating brands and creating consumer awareness for our clients.”
