On Friday 22nd March, Clive and Simon set off from Ryde pier, and 26 hours of walking later the 70-odd miles were done.

Clive said: “We had rain, sleet, -2c, cliff paths collapsing in front of us and seas of mud, but thanks to your generosity the Brainstrust can do a little more of its invaluable work now. We might choose a more clement time of the year next time though….”

The Brainstrust is the Isle of Wight-based charity for sufferers of brain cancer ( which works with adults, children, and families who need help, advice and support.
