The award was won last weekend at the UK Games Expo.
During the three days, visitors were encouraged to vote for their favourite games. The Best Family Game went to CVlizations, which is distributed by Coiledspring Games in the UK.
A follow-up to the hit game CV, players have the task of leading their tribes to greatness with the aim of collecting the most happiness points over three eras. Happiness points are gained through the buying of ideas and ideologies with acquired resources, which involves reading one’s opponents moves.
CVlizations is developed by Jan Zalewski and features Granna’s distinct illustration. With a playing time of 45 minutes for ages 10 and up, it’s a perfect gateway game for families and friends.
Roger Martin, managing director, commented: “We were delighted to win. Not only is it a fabulous game but it also means we continue our winning streak. We’ve won one or more awards at UK Games Expo each year for the past seven years.”
CVlizations is available now from Coiledspring Games.
