Corgi adds to Super Haulers range

Corgi has announced its new Big Pink Truck ‘Isabelle’ Box Truck, aimed at girls.corgibigpinktruck300

The box truck belongs to established UK and European haulage company Robinsons of Worcester, famous for their eye-catching baby pink vehicles. Owner Edward Robinson chose the distinctive livery because his daughter Isabelle loves pink and when he ordered a new Scania tractor unit in 2009 he painted it pink especially for her. The colour has proved to be a big hit and several more tractor units have been painted pink.

Martyn Weaver, Corgi marketing manager, explained why the brand chose the truck as the newest addition to the Super Haulers collection: “We received a high volume of requests through our Facebook pages to create a model of a Big Pink Truck, then after talking to the team at Robinsons of Worcester we decided that this would make a great toy. Our toys are predominantly bought and played with by boys and when we do events we often get asked for pink vehicles for girls to play with.”

Corgi Super Haulers is a series of quality die-cast metal and plastic 1:64 scale toy trucks suitable for children aged three and over. This new model has a detachable trailer, opening trailer doors and carries an authentic livery of some of the most popular trucks on Britain’s roads today. The Big Pink Truck will be available in March 2014.
