Corgi presents limited edition Lotus Collection

Published on: 11th October 2012

Corgi will release a series of limited and special edition die-cast 1:43 scale detailed model cars in 2013.

The Lotus collection by Corgi will allow Lotus and Corgi fans access to motorsport, road cars and Lotus F1 Team model vehicles.  This brand new licensed partnership between Lotus and Corgi marks the release of Corgi’s 2013 catalogue of collectable models.

The Lotus Collection includes four cars: two road car and motorsport models and two Lotus F1 Team models.  Each model carries an authentic Lotus livery and comes complete with a collector card detailing information about the car modeled. All models are presented in a plastic case that can be removed for display. The Lotus Evora GT4 and Lotus Evora S are limited edition models with both the Lotus F1 Team E20 models being special edition.

Corgi’s Marketing Manager Martyn Weaver said: “The partnership between two iconic British brands in Corgi and Lotus is exciting news for both motorsport fans and Corgi collectors. This investment in new die-cast tooling brings a completely new series of die-cast collectables to add to Corgi’s existing ranges of 1:43 scale automobiles and brings Corgi back into the world of producing collectable Formula One model cars.”
