Craft Buddy announces international distribution deals

Published on: 26th March 2019

The company has announced the deals on the back of a successful season of exhibitions.

Craft Buddy kicked off 2019 by attending CreativeWorld International Hobby Show in Frankfurt and Craft Hobby & Stitch in Birmingham, but it was at Spring Fair and Spielwarenmesse that the company was able to display its robust portfolio to the toy and gift trades for the first time.

Gary Wadhwani, co-founder, Craft Buddy, commented: “In the last 12 months we have grown our retail estate exponentially into a variety of multiple and specialist toy retailers, garden centres and gifts stores due to consumer demand for our unique formats. Our Crystal Art collections have an enduring and universal appeal, which is facilitating our growth into new markets and distribution channels. Last month we launched exclusively on the TV Channel Create and Craft, and consumer demand for our products has been off the scale, so it is really rewarding to see our distributors looking to replicate our proven success in other markets.”

On the back of the successful show season, HobbyToys Scandinavia AB – chosen for its wide account base and understanding of both the craft and hobby and toys market – has been appointed to further develop success across the Scandinavian market.

CEO and co-founder of HobbyToys Scandinavia AB, Björn Öström, commented: “We’re off to a booming start with Craft Buddy products. The Crystal Art concept is really appealing as a unique product format, and sits perfectly in our portfolio, offering up new opportunities for retail growth. The team at Craft Buddy is working closely with us and offering unrivalled support and customer service to ensure best results for all, and importantly facilitating the delivery of such a fun and innovative art concept to both hobby and toy retailers across our region. We are excited to see where our partnership leads.”

As well as the Scandinavia deal, Craft Buddy has also wrapped up distribution deals in USA, Australia, Romania and Israel, and remains in talks with companies in several other countries globally.

Craft Buddy distributors and consumers can expect to be treated to new exclusive designs and releases over the upcoming months including new licence announcements, as part of ambitious growth plans to offer inspired, educational and on trend ranges across a variety of price points.
