Now in its sixth year, the awards are sponsored and organised by Creative Steps Magazine, a publication for adults which promotes creative play as vital in a child’s development. The magazine is read by parents, child-carers, teachers as well as many guide and scout leaders.
Categories include Girl’s and Boy’s Craft Kits to Painting/Colouring/Modelling materials and Imaginative Role-play. Other categories include SEN toys and games and Outdoor toys and games, and all sections are graded into three age bands ensuring that they are tested both on their sector and age suitability.
The results will be published in the Christmas edition of the Creative Steps Magazine which is out in November, as well as on the Creative Minds website, reaching over 40,000 adults who regularly use craft products with children.
Dawn Hopley editor of Creative steps magazine, commented: “We were again delighted with the number of companies who entered products last year, proving that these awards are a desired addition to the creative play sector. The quality of entries was extremely high, recognising the importance the toy industry places on encouraging learning through creative play.”
The closing date is Friday 12th September 2014. For more information or to receive an electronic entry form contact Ellie@evolution-pr.co.uk.
