Dealership takes delivery of nation’s top selling car

Published on: 1st March 2019

Race to be the UK’s No.1 selling car picks up the pace as 2019 registrations become available for the first time this year.

As drivers rush to get hold of the latest number plate, one dealership in Northampton has taken delivery of the nation’s No.1 selling car, the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe, which last year, despite the market’s 6.8% decline in car sales, still sold over 160,000 units, overshadowing the Ford Fiesta by 66%.

1 in 3 children in the UK already own a Cozy Coupe, and it’s expected that its popularity will continue this year as learner drivers hurry to get their hands on this iconic car. Giving off zero emissions, requiring no tax and costing nothing at the petrol pump, it’s easy to see why the Cozy Coupe is so popular.

Michelle Lilley, head of Cozy Coupe fleet operations, commented: “We’re thrilled to release this limited number of Coupes for the first new registration of the year. We’re encouraging Cozy Coupe enthusiasts to head online or in-store to look at the range of Coupes within the fleet; there’s something for every taste and it’s the perfect affordable first car for keen motorists.”
