Thanks to a competition organised by Topps, St Mary’s under 11’s football team got a special training session.
Pupils from St Mary’s School in Barnet had the once in a lifetime opportunity of learning football skills from Premier League and Chelsea star, Eden Hazard. Thanks to a competition organised by Topps, local football hopefuls from St Mary’s under 11’s football team were able to get an inside scoop on what it’s like to be a Premier League player.
The prize for the Club Together competition winners from years five and six was a group training session with the Chelsea winger at Surrey Sports Park. The team were also awarded Topps football kits and shirts. To win this exclusive prize, St Mary’s School topped the leader board by collecting Match Attax and Match Attax Extra football trading cards and registering over 24,500 codes printed inside the packets online.
Rod Pearson from Topps, commented: “At Topps, we are dedicated to giving budding football players and collectors the chance to benefit from our support and our strong partnerships with international footballers, to learn from their experiences and apply them on the pitch. Our Club Together competition has been a great success yet again this year, seeing over 1,000 teams getting involved in order to win this once in a lifetime opportunity to play side by side with Eden.”
